Who we are

Veteran Vitality Project is a nonprofit founded by veterans, for veterans.
We believe that physical fitness and proper nutrition are powerful tools to combat depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Our mission is to provide free fitness and nutrition programs to disabled veterans, military members, and first responders — helping them rebuild strength, resilience, and purpose.

With lived experience, professional training, and a deep commitment to service, our team understands the challenges veterans face after leaving the uniform behind. We’re here to remind every veteran: you are not alone.

Why we help

Nearly 1 in 5 veterans experience depression or anxiety, and the suicide rate among veterans is more than 50% higher than that of the general population. These aren’t just numbers — they represent our brothers and sisters who continue to fight battles long after leaving the service. Research shows that regular physical activity can boost endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine while lowering cortisol, improving sleep, energy, and mental resilience. At Veteran Vitality Project, we believe that fitness and nutrition are more than just physical health tools — they are lifelines that restore hope, rebuild confidence, and remind every veteran that they are not alone.
